IT Business Analyst

Job Description

As an IT Business Analyst you will review, analyze, and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support overall business strategies. You will document system requirements defining scope and objectives and create system specifications that drive system development and implementation utilizing standard change management processes. 

Purpose:

This position functions as a liaison between IT and users and have both business and technical expertise. This position also partners with business process owners and experts to determine the best systems solutions to business problems by analyzing software capabilities and suggesting technical options.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal key business process owners to ensure that the best standard (non-customized) solutions are found to support top key business priorities and requirements.
• Deliver on-going training and support of the packaged software to key business partners
• Partner with software vendors as appropriate to ensure that Katun’s short and long-term business requirements are met.  Identifying solution options or work-arounds.  
• Prioritize and expedite resolution of software bugs, software upgrades, or other issues, preparing test plans and test the packaged software and customizations as needed.
• Work with software developers to ensure unique requirements are met.
• Participate in software upgrade projects and the rollout of software to new users.
• Provide timely project status updates as needed.
• Participate in and/or lead the design and development of Katun-owned customizations and interfaces.
• Effectively negotiate and manage issues, resolve conflicts quickly and professionally to ensure partnerships are working cohesively and effectively.
• Performs other projects, work and activities as assigned to ensure continuous service to our internal and external customers.  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• 1-3 years of Analyst experience with substantial business process experience in a Distribution company. Areas of Focus: Order-to-Cash, Demand/Supply planning, Warehouse management.
• Knowledge of Relational databases, SQL, and PL/SQL are required.  Crystal reports a strong plus.

• ERP systems (IFS a strong plus)

Job Type: Full Time

Annual Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 depending on skills and experience

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
