Innovation, Value and Growth: A Look Ahead to 2026

Share

2025 has been a year of action and transformation for Katun. In November, I stepped into the role of CEO, and I’m energized by the opportunity to lead a company with such a strong legacy and bright future.

Over the past year, we’ve continued to grow Katun’s hardware, consumables, and workplace solutions portfolio. We’ve reinforced our commitment to the circular economy with the launch of the Katun Collects recycling program in Europe and recognized our U.S. dealer community with the new Katalyst Rewards program. We’ve added 523 new OEM-equivalent supplies and parts to our catalog globally. We also celebrated the one-year anniversary of our Arivia MFP line, a milestone that reflects our focus on innovation and dedication to delivering value to our dealer partners.

In 2025, our long-standing partnerships evolved, allowing us to deliver more comprehensive products, supplies, and support than ever before. We’ve also built new relationships that expand our reach and open doors to new possibilities. This year’s achievements wouldn’t have been possible without our committed global team. With nearly five decades of industry experience, they have unmatched expertise, agility, and a strong focus on supporting our dealer partners and customers. Their willingness to listen, think creatively, and keep raising the bar is a key reason I’m proud to lead Katun into the future.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we head into 2026, one message from the market is clear: customers expect more - more transparency, more value, and more simplicity. Meeting these expectations means staying connected to our customers, understanding what they need, and adapting quickly as their needs evolve.

A continued focus on value and simplicity will define the year ahead. Dealers and their customers are looking for transparent communication, predictable costs, and high-quality products, supplies and solutions that simplify operations rather than add complexity. We’ve seen this firsthand: dealers have been able to grow their businesses by adopting Katun’s Arivia MFPs alongside Katun’s trusted OEM-equivalent supplies, a proven combination that streamlines operations while delivering real value.

A Renewed Focus on Hardware and Service Profitability

As print volumes stabilize at lower levels, we’re seeing that strong operational performance is key to being profitable. Companies want products, parts, and supplies that are reliable, simple to use and deliver consistently high-quality output. Dealers and manufacturers are also updating their service models, embracing smarter dispatching, standardized parts, and equipment that’s easier to maintain.

Predictive maintenance and OEM-equivalent supplies will play an even bigger role in reducing downtime and keeping service costs in check, which ultimately helps protect margins. These efficiencies give businesses the breathing room they need to grow and explore new opportunities, whether that’s expanding into IT services, production print, or other areas where they can bring added value.

Innovation and Opportunity

In 2026, emerging technologies will continue to create new opportunities across the industry. At Katun, we’re actively exploring how our products and services can benefit from these advancements. Recently, we participated in the TWAIN Converge: Business Developer Conference, where an Arivia MFP helped train “Crickets,” an intelligent resupply robot, showing just how exciting the intersection of innovation and automation can be.

Katun’s state-of-the-art Innovation Hub in Taichung, Taiwan, continues to be a key center for research and development, helping us anticipate and respond to evolving market needs. With 80 patents and 19 more pending for our OEM-equivalent supplies and parts, we’re well-positioned to keep driving meaningful innovation in the years to come.

In the year ahead, Katun will continue to expand its portfolio, introducing new high-quality OEM-alternative parts and supplies designed to support our dealer partners and their customers - helping keep MFPs running smoothly and businesses operating at their best.

A Final Word on the Year Ahead

Success in 2026 will belong to organizations that listen to dealer needs, adapt quickly, and innovate with purpose. Sticking to rigid, traditional approaches will limit growth, while agility and collaboration will accelerate it. By embracing new technologies, simplifying the customer experience, and continuing to invest in our partners’ success, we have the opportunity to move forward and build sustainable growth, together.
